Fast Output:
The MPA3-2 makes prints at up to 10 pages per minute, with first print in 10 seconds -- ideal for busy libraries, schools, public-access archives, and local government offices.
Bi-Mode Printing (option):
The bi-mode printing option gives you positive printouts whether you are using negative or positive film; an optional Automatic Mode Sensor eliminates the need to change film type settings manually.
Simple Front Operation:
All vital controls are centrally located on the MPA3-2's front panel for easy operation; the paper supply cassette is easy to reach, and prints output from the front so you can complete your work without leaving your chair.
Precision Micro-Toning:
Minolta's exclusive Micro-Toning system produces clear, high-contrast prints from every type of film.
Multiform Versatility:
The MPA3-2 supports a wide range of film and fiche carriers: Minolta UC-2, UC-5, or UC-5M for quick changeover from 16mm or 35mm reels to fiche, aperture cards, or jackets; Fiche Carrier 5 to accommodate fiche, jackets, and aperture cards; Roll Film Carrier 9B, 11, 15A (for ANSI) or 15M (for M-type) cartridges.
Interchangeable Lenses:
Choose from four types of lenses that provide all the magnification ratios you'll need -- from a single-focus 7.5x lens, to zoom lenses that span 9 - 16x, 13 - 27x, or 20 - 50x zoom ratios. (Lenses are interchangeable with the MPA4-4 model.)
Automatic Exposure Control:
Senses film exposure and automatically adjusts to the appropriate level.
Automatic Centering (optional):
Repositions off-centered screen images before printing.
Automatic Image Rotation (optional):
Senses landscape or portrait orientation and automatically rotates the image for printing, saving time by minimizing manual adjustments.
Manual & Automatic Frame Masking (optional):
Manual Masking lets you use LCD buttons to mask unnecessary information from your print; Automatic Frame Masking eliminates heavy black borders to make prints look better and save valuable toner.
Automatic Skew Correction:
Adjusts up to 30° to compensate for images that were slanted during the filming process -- and saves the time it takes to make minor adjustments for each misaligned frame.
MARS Control Capability:
When using Minolta roll film carriers RFC-15A, or RFC-15M, the Minolta MARS Controller 4 or MARS Mini 2 Controller enables your computer-aided retrieval software to automatically search, retrieve, and print blipped microfilm images.
Workstation 5:
A modern workstation is available for the MPA3-2, with heavy-duty single ball-bearing wheels and a convenient front pullout shelf. Holes are pre-drilled for quick and easy installation of the 3390 coin-operation accessory.
